At meal time or snack time, refined isn’t elegant
While it’s generally known that whole grains are good for you, most people eat very little of them. Why? Because so much of the grains we consume – including most brands of sliced breads and cold cereals – are refined, in which the grains are heavily milled during processing, thereby losing their nutrient quantities.
Whole grains are rich in soluble fiber, folate, iron and more. Refined grains? Not so much.
That’s why it’s important to choose whole grains in your grocery aisles. Read your labels carefully. And remember, most all Country Choice Organic products are rich in whole grains.
